Projects > Specialty Shoring > Seatac Airport, Fire Systems Building

PROJECT: SEATAC AIRPORT, FIRE SYSTEMS BUILDING
Location: Seattle, Washington
Lifting Points: 16
Roof Construction: Concrete pre-cast
Clearance before lifting: 18 feet
Specialty Shoring

Summary:

This job consisted of supporting the concrete pre-cast roof on one side of the building in order to remove the tilt-up panels for expansion of the building.

The cribpost towers had the capacity for the lift, but also they could be placed in tight placers around the fire system equipment, which had to stay functional at all times during construction. Each lifting column could be monitored for the weight it was carrying.
